Radiator design

And we love it that way, I am actually wrapped in the cover I have which @hogweed created I think it makes the Radiator look a lot smaller

I have a polished stainless cover made by @hogweed that I like very much.
he is a pro to deal with as well.

Color would be good. I'll probably pony up for a paint job in the future. Yours is still square -the T-birds is narrow at the top and fits the frame of the bike nicely. I know we have a few more cc's to cool, but I think there's a lot of room for improvement. IMHO

Looks wise I like the front end of the bike the least of any angle. I do like the fact that even in very warm riding the fan only kicks in when I am not moving or stop/go traffic. Once I get rolling the fan kicks off quickly. It seems like the bike has enough cooling to not have to worry about it. My brother has a Kawasaki ZX14....That bike seems to have about a 5 degree window before it is overheating. He is always monkeying around with the cooling....everything from rad flushing/pro cleaning to new thermostats to strange additives to the coolant. Makes for a stressful ride of the weather is hot and the traffic is slow....I will take the Rocket's big rad any day.

was quoted $1800 for the whole package rad and shrouds

Was that an "of the shelf" unit, or did you fabricate it? If the later, does it have to be rectangular?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ,the two things that first attracted me to the Rocket 3 Touring was the huge Chrome radiator grill and the 3 exhaust header pipes , the things a lot of guys want to change, if you want ugly radiators look at some other liquid cooled bikes ,most of them look like an after thought ,as mentioned previously in this thread the cooling works as designed in hot weather , if it's not broken don't fix it!

Apart from things I've already changed and excluding any further changes I m ght decide to make in the future, I love everything about the Rocket and hope Triumph leave it just the way it is. Customising is for owners to do and manufacturers should leave well alone. Surely this proves my point.

Nice hog man ....

Now as for the radiator on the Rocket , for every 20,000klm you travel it get's a inch narrower and shorter .. or so it seems .. hardly notice it these days. Radiator was humongous at purchase time

Of the shelf performance store.

Well that's good to know. It's quite a bit narrower than the stock unit, but it's been offset to allow for Warp9.9's inter-cooler. Does it have to be offset (to allow proper mounting and hookup of hoses)? Or can it be centered? I assume it is thicker (more cores) to accommodate the necessary cooling capability and coolant capacity.
