I'd highly advise you to learn proper technique before you attempt it. Keeping the front end down is much less of a problem than finding yourself strapped to an out of control tank slapper.

I'd hardly call that video definitive. My Rocket will beat that V-Twin Zook like it owes me money. In other words, no contest!:D

Good, experienced riders on both bikes (Rocket & Hayabusa) in a 1/8 mile and my money is on the Rocket hands down. After that, once he gets his revs up it is Hayabusa time, no contest. Still, it makes me feel good the Busa driver will have to work for it, at least for the first half of the 1/4 mile. :D

The M109? Ha! You make me laugh! It weighs only like 30lbs less than the Rocket and has 30% less torque.

GS

shucks guys I beat a 109 and I weighed 60 pounds more than him we were out on a ride he had been taunting me all day running beside of each other on the interstate we had pulled out getting fuel hit second gear and I called on it he never said another thing. Torque is everything

Sure I watched it, Daryl.

First of all it appeared to be a top gear roll on contest.

Secondly, a properly ridden R3 will leave the 109 for dead early on because of its 30% greater torque.

Last but not least, the margin between the two bikes is way too close in that video - it proves absolutely nothing - so, other than than for attempting to validate your own self-imposed demotion to V-twin land, what's the point, since there are so many other variables that can account for one machines performance and the others lack of same?

I doubt it was meant to prove anything; more than likely a couple of mates just having a bit of fun. Personally, I don't give a rip about the race. I'm just impressed with the Rocket's air brake setup. Lol

p.s. Here's another video. Watch how I absolutely mop the highway with this hooligan Scotsman and his so called fast Rocket III. Note how he decides to run up next to me with his hair on fire. Then, take a close look and you can see me saying "Suck my pea shooters!
" and blast away for the win! Poor fella had to ride another 40 miles to our destination broken and ashamed. :p
