Awesome Wayne, just the sort of thing I like to look at.
But tell me, what was so stuffed with this head that it was worth sacrificing to do this to it ?
Also, it's good to see a NON political post in this Motorcycle forum :stirthepot: :D

No Paul, it was a DEMOCRATIC head, therefore had to be executed....

Triumph's are made in the UK so are not afflicted with American politics ;)

What on earth did you cut through that with?

Nothing. A customer came in spouting political BS... so I cut up his head to teach him a lesson. ;)

Actually, the oil restrictor in the head clogged (3Bond block sealer not cleaned out when the dealer split engine for transmission work) and the cam bearings and bucket holes took a beating. More costly to fix than a replacement head. I have had the head for a few years now. I cut it up because I wanted to know on my latest port design, how close I was getting to the water jacket in the upper sides of the intake ports. My sonic thickness tester shows erratic readings in a few places - normally indicating very thin aluminum. A few more photos will follow shortly. As will some DIY R3 porting tips.

yep...had ta been a lib dem ! ha!
