Hey that's what it's all about right?
INDIVIDUALLY...
He went his own way.
He didn't just buy bolt on parts..
he made it his own.
gotta respect that,
whether you like it or not.
I'm sure not everybody will like the "look" mine has grown into,
probably no one, but thats alright,
if I wanted a bike like everyone elses,
I'd have got another harley.....
to each his own, right?

Skip you are absolutely right there.
I HATE IT:)
But he would probably hate mine too.

My new Neighbor stopped by the other day and looking at my R3T asked me why I "went down" to a Triumph instead of buying another Harley....
I laughed and told him I have seen 10,000 Harleys in the last 3 years but not another Bike like mine, and that I enjoyed being a non conformist. :D

Sooo.... with that said, Congrats on making something completely different and original I think it looks Bad A%S !

UUhh cept for maybe the white handgrips ;)

Thanks guys,
but when you see pics, or better yet in person at Maggie Valley,
I'm sure there'll be some snickerin' and just WTF looks...:eek::eek:
That's ok, I like it and that's what counts,
it "fits" me better than the stock standard did.
But thanks, an I just call em the way I see em..

Great Work!!!

You may love it or you may dislike it...looking closely at the pictures...it sure looks like a craftsman was involved with this build.

What I really like and is something I would put at the top of the list for my rather stock R3...look at the cables and wires coming from the handle bar controls...very few. Look at your bike and the wad of wires and cables that exist zip tied to the bars.

I'd love to be able to internally route all that mess to clean up the bike.

I use to be an Indian Dealer. The Chiefs from 1999 to 2003 all had internally routed wires...a ***** to work on but really cleaned up those beach bars.

Nice work!

Definately different. To each his own.
Wonder who will be the first to take a R3 Touring bike to the Limo stretchers.lol
Hell with the extra power, they could stretch it 4 feet and put another 10 seats on it.lol

Wow, a R3 built to look like every other harley custom so it blends in with all the harley customs, three cheers for individuallity! Those bars look like leftover pieces of stairway railings that I used to build and install. I'd hate to see what it cost him.

If making your bike harder to control and seamlessly blend in with every other flat-black, ape-hangered posermobile is what floats you boat then more power to you, and thank god I'm not you.

Chuck,
I think you missed the point.
I can't speak for the owner of the pictured bike,
but I know for myself,
the last thing I wanted was to have my bike look like anybody elses bike,
and certainly not a harley or harley clone.
I've taken what "fit" me best, a set of road king bars over the Triumph bars.
A homemade sissy bar.
Homemade corbin seat (made by them to fit a harley, modified by me to fit a R3).
Three headlights to add that "personal" touch.
Three inch taller tank, with a hole in it.
No sir, my bike is very UNharley like.
It is black though, but only because bikes are suppose to be black IMHO.
So you keep your "stock" R3,
I'll keep modifying mine till I get it just the way I want it.
I'm glad you aren't me too.
I like being an individual.
