Question Regarding Single Headlight on R3T

Right, my bad, a bit too much abbreviating there. But those kits are a bit of a fixture, there are single H4 solutions and dual headlight ones for the Roadster crowd.

Have you looked at the 8415 Evo lights? 4.5" HEADLIGHTS - DOT/E approved. Cheap really!. Can´t hurt!

Whoa. Was not aware of them. Wonder if they'd fit the standard bucket, doesn't look like it, they don't seem to clip into place like your standard reflector. Plus, visually, not the prettiest (I like the chrome ones I have).

I'm pretty happy with my current light output, but definitely considering finding some polished stainless LEDs to put on the engine bars perhaps. But it's not a huge priority anymore, the 8700 evo 2 throws light pretty far.

This is the simplest way to add a relay to your Touring
R3T Eastern Beaver mod

There is going to be minimal gain to the voltage with a full blown Dual Relay kit on a Toruing with only a single headlight and if you have (or plan) for LED light, don't even bother.

Incidentally I know another source for headlight relay kits! :D

I have the bypass kit and LED - I had already ordered the kit, so I figured why not, especially as I was in there anyway to switch out the reflector. And hey, 40 watts or so is still something (8700 Evo 2 on full whack).

Pretty much anything can be MADE TO FIT. Patience and ingenuity generally triumphs. I've been watching these for a while - the early ones were ECE113 compliant - but not marked. Speaker (with Mobile Centre pushing a bit maybe) seem to have realised that the E mark is a MUST. What's more like the new adaptive models they're LHD and RHD certified. Useful for those of us who have to switch side EU/UK every so often.

I have some measuring to do - but hoping that the "old" 8630's and a set of these can be retrofitted into my ageing 4WD (it has crap lights). This confirmed by testing and fitting all sorts of HID/LED "bulbs" - they just make the flaws more obvious.

Sure, elbow grease and perhaps even being willing to fabricate (or have fabricated) custom bits is always a possibility.

I think I'll either be happy as-is or figure out something to mount to the engine guards, though. I have great coverage close up now with the DRL's, and pretty decent long range with the 8700. So, better to add more than take off and replace.
