Question For those using RamAir triple filter

I can hear my valves...not the valve train...the pulsation of the in and out.....less noticeable with bear claw on....but it's off now as I have several projects going on that requires the tank to be lifted occasionally.

I just bought the Ramair kit and fitted it all up to my R3R 2016 within about a hour and half. Everything fitted the way it should. Took my time and did not over think anything. Instructions were very good! The noise it makes now is awesome in my opinion and I do notice better acceleration and pull. Every time I hear it when I give it the throttle leaves me smiling:) If you want more noise, or Better noise I would definitely recommend it and the power gains too of course. Also another benefit is having all that space where the existing OEM filter is under the seat. Makes for a handy dandy storage compartment.

I went to K&Ns (same/same) and definitely noticed the noise, at first. Sounded like a woodpecker going at it, but I now think it was some kind of reverberation in my helmet magnifying the valve noise. Others talk about "chirping," which is high pitched and almost out of my hearing range. Now, I'm just used to it and it all sounds right.

@Rocket Scientist talks in a thread about insulating the claw for soundproofing. If you're concerned about the noise you might want to search that out.

After removing the snorkel stuff under the tank I'd never want to put it back in just to have to remove again, which you'd need to do every time you changed plugs, checked valve clearances, or the inevitable gasket change. Good riddance.
