Took my Thunderbird on the weekend Poker Run . I was the self appointed traffic stopper so the pack could get through intersections in one go. Had a f#cking hoot screaming up to the front of the pack to block the next corner. Thunderbird feels like a dirtbike compaired to the Rocket.

Yea mate. I've been looking at them enough. I really want one, just not ready for another note.

So what !!!!! ... is everyone else ' mid-life-crisis 'types that have just gone out and ' joined the lifestyle ' or whatever crap Harley advertising comes up with to sell bikes to middle aged men !!! Man , come on , you can't have owned anything worse than some of the previous posters :roll:joking !!!

When you start riding later in life you want to ride the ultimate while you still can. I started riding about that time too (But I put in a couple years on a Bonnie first).

01 Kawasaki 1500 I bought new
99 Road King classic, sold the Kawy after 2 months.
Several Harleys in between.
01 Boss Hoss 350 sb from 02 to 07 longest I ever owned a bike and the kewlest also.
01 Valk Interstate
06 Triumph Rocket Classic.
Had to sell the Boss because of money issues back in 07. The Rocket is the closest thing I can find for the money that gives me that feel of torque when you twist on it. I will have another one day when I can afford it again but until then the Rocket is as close as it gets for me. I know there are faster bikes out there but not many I can find with as much torque as the Rocket.

I totally rebuilt this bike with stretched gas tank, custom fenders and paint with lots of new chrome and that shiny NOS bottle hanging on the side. You cant describe the feeling to be rolling along at 20 mph and hammer it then hit that NOS button. Cant describe it, you just have to experience it.

My current ride with triple K&N's, removed butterflies, custom Tuneboy map with a Power Commander stacked on top of that and dialed in on a dyno.
