Has anyone ever tried to put different make pipes on their r3? I know Reinhardt duals for Harley flh bikes work well for speedmasters, and Americas........... just curious. Looking into my exhaust options .

Hey Shotgun... ( as in Benelli shotguns for the un-initiated)

You may want to take a look in the Forum entitled "Rocket III Resources - Rocket III Performance Accessories"...

It will give you a pretty good listing of the exhausts in use across the blogosphere and the corresponding links.

Have fun...

aussie mufflers.

I have a pipe on my bike made by Denis Foran .Specifically made for the rocket.Looks good ,not too loud.Stainless Steel.

I've got a old 2" harley drag pipe welded onto my header just after the O2 bung.
i'd rather have a predator header though if I had my druthers.
Just don't like the look of supertraps....
I personally like the look and sound of a drag pipe better.
A set of Sams headers with a drag pipe on each side would be ideal for me...
Carpenters look pretty good too.

Hi Skip, yes I really like the look of the carpenter 3 into 1 but apparently you cannot buy it completed! hope you and your family are doing well!

yea Mark, we're all still kickin' on this end.
Could a person buy the carpenter header and add some slip ons,
like screamin' eagles on it?
That's an interesting thought right there.
That might be alright.

Skip you can buy the Carpenter pipe without the muffler and add what ever you like. In talking with them the reason they have the megaphone horn on it is they have found a taper that produces the best HP increase on bikes. Something to do with the exhaust reverb wave slowing down and shortening the HP/tourque climb. They sound like a stock car without the baffels in it. To loud for me but with the baffle in its much better. One of the reason why they did the kit verses whole assembly is to give everyone a choice as to what they want. You know we all have different opinions. The other is he is so busy he hasn't much time to put it together or the space. When I was there it was wall to wall bikes.
