I remember that now as I tracked down that number once before. My memory and mind fail me with 70 just around the corner.
I bought some replacement bulbs for my bike a while back and they were hanging out in the garage on my pegboard so I was able to access the 7507 number in short order. I was looking for a brighter bulb, but I never found a substitute that would simply drop in and work.
Note that it is very easy to mod a BA15S bulb (which has the bayonet pins at 180 deg) to fit in a BAU15S socket by a quick dress with a file to remove just ONE of those pins.
Even with one pin it will still hold securely in place both physically and electrically.
I don't mean to question your effort at putting it in, but if you check this website and the specifications for the 7507....it is a BAU15s base and should fit your bike. Don't forget, it has those screwy offset pins. I don't know what else to tell you. I'll do a little more looking.

I'll give it a look. I don't know why the 7507 doesn't fit @ksquared socket because it is suppose to be a BAU15s base according to the post I just made to him. Hmmm....
