Cool looking James Bond bike, TRIIICK, but really under-powered and slow. Test rode one when they first came out and was badly disappointed and very underwhelmed.

I couldn't agree with you more..the CLC was a big disappointment for me power wise. I did like the heated seat and grips though. BMW only made them from 2003-05 not a big seller. One day i hope to find a good deal on a 1600 GTL to add to the barn. The 1200 RT is a great bike too, i missed out on a great deal on one when my buddy got two knee replacements. Like guns bikes can become an addiction...:D

Uhhhh, I was just thinkin', Bruce... isn't this, your title for this thread -
"One for the minimalists."
- a contradiction in terms on a Rocket III site ?

First thing that a lot of people on this site would do is
1-Install a windshield
2-Heated grips
3-A nice big soft seat
4- Sound system
5-Buy chaps and wear them.
6-Remove the carbs and install EFI
Probably missed a few things:confused: the C-BMW is a nice looking bike and James Bond can ride it with a hot chick on the seat facing him.

Not really an Aussie Owner thing to bolt a ton of aftermarket accessories or gizmos onto our Rockets .. come to think of it I only know one Aussie Owner that's gone that root (sorry route ) :cautious:

It does get ridden or at least parked on the street. Is owned by a friend of a friend who lives in Belgium. They were going to a bike show when this was taken. I think his mates have overdone the extended fork idea.

Here's a take on a modern BMW chopper a friend built several years back. Not exactly my cup of tea but it did get a lot of looks from the Harley crowd.
