Checked this morning. I think the numpty before me has overfilled it. I did what the manual says. How much overfill is in there, you think?

Looks a bit high. Not too major a concern unless it's spewing out the oil tank. The Rockets (Gen 1 and Gen 2) are dry sump machines, meaning the oil is contained in the tank and not the sump. There are two oil pumps, one to feed the moving bits and the other to send the collected oil back to the oil tank. The process for checking oil level is to start and run the bike so any oil that's drained back from the system is returned to the oil tank. Having a bit extra in the tank isn't going to do any harm to the motor.

Cheers for that. Not used to the dry sump. Wet sump would blow seals if overfilled, that I understand.

You did notice that the dipstick was located on the oil tank and not the sump, ergo it's a dry sump. Unless it's puking oil out the filler cap you can leave the excess oil in, no harm.
