Oil leak on left side under cooper washer

Interesting about warranty work. A Triumph dealer and I were conversing about warranty work and he stated they don't really like it as Triumph sets rates below the dealers hourly rates and the dealer must work at those rates. They make a killing on non warranty work.

The very simple fix I didnt come up with I read it on this forum. Tighten the bolt about an 1/8 of a turn past Triumphs torque specs. I did it to mine like 20,000 miles ago and its been dry since then.

Sorry the simple fix didnt work. I actually have close to 36,000 miles on the GT, the 20,000 was just an estimate from when I tightened the bolt. And no, I have not had any major issues that required an overnight stay at the dealership.

Reporting for my steps on easy oil fix:
1- try only tighten bolt to crash cooper washer - did not work still sipping!
2- replace the new cooper washer - no luck start sipping after 3 mile run to the stor!
3-replace cooper washer on special metal bonded with rubber oring- work for 3 days start sipping again!
4- unscrew the bolt throw away any washers, clean bolt with brake cleaner put under the bolt ( Hondabond HT ) and some Blue Luck, tights all the way in , wipe all squished gasket maker and live bike for 24 hours cured time! Since I installed Honda pice in my rocket3 I hoping for Honda reliability now possesses Triumph soul they bonded together and will be no oil sipping! Hondabond HT used in Honda’s engine instead gasket between engine block and oil pump so I assume it will hold 50-70 psi of engine oil pressure and small sipping will Not be a problem!!

Hi guys reporting back who was interested in progress with my fight on oil leak under washer!! Like I posted last time Hondabond HT did it job nicely after 6 days of constant using with a lot of driving in city stop lights and idling on parking lot I glad to saying it is DRY!!!! I assume the problem was in machining flat surface under the bolt washer and on my case it wasn’t! On picture it looks like it was gauge on washer surface!! So easy fix I can say now, 14$ hondabond HT and 15 min with the 12mm wranch and bit of blue lucktight !!
