still no picture But I am guessing it is the same area as I had a small leak give it a real good clean and keep a very close watch on it but more so the lower engine case bolts cos that is where mine was leaking the dealer waqs baffled by it and triumph Auss was ready to send a new lower case but then we tried replacing the bolt and fixed it, seems the original bolt had tiny bit to much clearance in threads and oil was seeping thru, hope this helps, the bolt is very close to the sensor you mention and was our first suspected point of leak
So far my only experience with oil leaks is from my old shovel head Harley. The rules for those are, as long as the puddle is not growing by more than 6 inches an hour there is no need to even look for the source. The time to worry is when it stops leaking

That looks like ya gear position sensor it could be a hardened O ring that needs replacing if not and its coming through the sensor somewhere I guess you have to replace it.. probably just the O ring
