Ah no I refer to

My longest standing relationship. 35 years together. Still outstanding in the twisties. We spend most Sundays together for an hour or so. New she never leaked - but some of the seals are, well, a bit old. Like original old.

My Guzzi is a 1979 bike - first plated in 1981. I bought it cheap as it had a suspected seize.
In the past it has done Iron-Butt length runs - 1000 miles with only fuel stops. Still not seized.

Regarding the washers.... could rubber "O" rings be used in place of the aluminum washers? Anyone tried that?

Nice Guzzi. I've always very much like them. My 1967 TR6C. It was my daily rider for many years but now I can't kick it over hard enough to start it.

Was never into old Brit Bikes - Spent my youth on Italians. Guzzis, Laverdas, Ducatis, Benellis.

But at the moment I am being drawn into the dark world of big 2-strokes. My mate is restoring a neat Bultaco Flattracker.
The owner lives in the UK, bought it in the US and has sent it here to be done.

My cousin was a rated motocross racer; European bikes. He had track on the back 30 acres of his ranch in Oregon. I know he had a Bultaco, a CZ and a Jawa. He also raced an old KTM 350 which I believe was a two stroke. I saw them in the shop in his absolutely gigantic barn. One of the Bultacos meticulously restored beauty. The first motorcycle I ever rode was a Jawa. I was 15 and used to do high speed runs along an old crushed rock levy road. Well, it felt high speed at the time. I think it was a 175cc.

I got the Brit bike bug in high school back in the 50s. The back room of my shop is all Brit stuff. Waiting to be brought back to life are a 1947 and 1958 Speed Twin. I've also got a 1957 Speed Twin Flat Tracker, plus a ton of new and used parts, engine cases, trannies etc. The engine on the flat tracker is done and sitting on my work bench.

Here's a better pic of the 67 back when I had a street exhaust on it. The second pic is why I can't get it started anymore. I'm a member of that club.

One of the plugs does have an o-ring.

So far I have escaped Arthur the Iti!.

My bain is sciatica - my nerves run through (and not over) the piriformis muscle - on the left side for certain. I keep the area protected. The last big spasm it induced rippled though other areas and I had micro fractures in the Iliac crest.

This is where I get my classic bike fever soothed. There every week near enough to help out. ClassicCo

I hope this isn't the billionth post on this subject. I did a search and a bunch of threads turned up but I couldn't find the information I needed.

We lost both of our local Triumph dealers, one in Gorst about 15 minutes from here and the other in Tacoma. I was able to buy an oil filter and one washer from leftover stock at the Gorst dealer the other day. I've tried to find them both on ebay and through general search and come up washers for every bike but the R3.

So, I've got the oil and the filter but not the correct washers. I recall reusing them on my 07 Classic without any leaks. I'd rather not do it on my 09 because though.

So has anyone purchased any generic aluminum washers from an auto parts store? If so, what the dimensions? I recall a guy posted them on the other site years ago but, well, that was years ago.

If I had some leftovers from my other R3 I'd take them down and match them, but I don't.
