Just import a salvage r3 from the States bits and pieces need doing to it but not too much, the problem I've got is when you turn the ignition on the lights come on, the horn and indicators work but nothing else. The bike will not turn over, nothing comes on the speedo or rev counter. Checked the fuses and they're ok, could it be something that needs resetting in the ECU due to the crash. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
Cheers

I would prop up the tank and check all of the wiring harness connections. I don't know of any fuel shut-off or anything like cars have when involved in an accident.

Verify the basics

I know this might sound silly, but here goes. Did you check the kill switch, kickstand switch, gear position in nuetral. Rademis

check the "fall over" switch. I saw this the other day when perusing the tech manual. Maybe it got jammed. I think it's somewhere under the seat by the rectifier.

Thanks guys for your help, you wouldn't happen to have a pic of the fall over switch it's a bit difficult to check what is what with the number of relays etc. Also is the fuse for the heated grips in the fuse box or seperate as I've already checked the fuses.

Cheers

Check the wires in the loom from the kill switch, they may have been pinched between the yoke and the tank.

I purchased a salvaged bike that could not be started and found the starter wire was severed in that loom.

Cheers.

Your problem is on the back of your ignition switch.Triumph had a problem with bad solder joints.Once you remove the switch you will notice a wire that is no longer connected. If you are very careful you can re-solder it however you must do it very quickly the inside of the switch is all plastic and will melt if you arnt quick. When this wire is off the speedo and tach will not function and the motor will not turn over.Trust me this is your problem.
