I think Nellie missed the Woah and just galloped over the cliff
I just hunted one down locally and can buy a discounted one delivered for AUD$65 (US$50) or less if they accept my offer.

Pros: Definitely Light; looks good; Bragging right for buying a pricey one (if they matter)
Cons: Did not fit well - ear space is pretty restricted even though rest of the helmet fit snug (no. I don't have elephant ears ); Same problem with the chin cover - kept slipping out and the worse part is that once it comes out, it keeps scratching your chin, so you have to stop to fit it back in if it comes off during riding; Too pricey for what it offers
I recently moved to a Scorpion EXO - not exactly the same comparison but a much better fitting helmet (same size) and pretty cheap (think it was around 200 bucks or so) as well. Great styling and mine goes well with the R3R matte finish
I've had this helmet about six months now, and I've just about had it with the piece of crap!
It's a nice looking helmet, comfortable and light weight.
But these stupid plastic clips that hold in the liner suck!!!!!
The bottom part around my chin is always coming unhooked, and now the headliner is doing the same
Still have the Bell Bullitt. The fit was less than adequate and the wind noise was horrible. The helmet is definitely lightweight and I like the styling. It is the best full face I have used in recent years. Even though the bar sits below my mouth,it's still rubs on my chin. visibility is excellent. I have I have decided to go back three quarter helmet.
I miss your old avatar Steve nothing to do with the company you keep though
I went to the bike shop to try the Bell Bullitt but no XL so they ordered in the Carbon black/white Union Jack version I was interested in to try for size, AUD$699 (US$510 ).
I was pretty surprised how extremely basic it was in ventilation and lining system despite the ad hype about being updated and upgraded to modern specs. The visor opening especially peripheral view is great but the chin bar despite being narrow is a shocker. As mentioned it rubs on your chin and I was able to open and close the 'el cheapo' front 'vent system' just by clenching my jaw. I imagine in winter you would be constantly opening and closing it accidentally and there is no closing function for the top vent holes although they didn't look very efficient either.
The shop would not allow a ride test (even with leaving license credit card etc) so there was no way to test further and they are left with a stylish but exorbitantly priced on their shelves.
I bought a couple of much cheaper alternatives:
Lazer Superskin Rider 3/4 with swing down shield online for AUD$99 and AUD$22 postage (US$83 delivered); and
Lazer Solano Superskin full face for EUR99 and EUR30 postage (US$147 delivered).
Gluing the liner in isn't the best solution either. That makes it very hard to take out to wash the muck and filth out of the lining.
As for cheap vs expensive, if you can stand the cheap (what you're giving up is comfort and functions mostly, they usually hold together decently in crashes even though they're cheap) then by all means. Personally I like good ventilation, fully removable and washable liner (that stays in when it's supposed to) and a spring-loaded internal sun visor. It all makes rides that much more enjoyable.
A big shout out to Nexx Helmets!
A while ago I posted a picture of my helmet on NEXX's FB page that showed the lining coming unclipped. I was soon Contacted by Nexx who put me in contact with a sales rep here in the States, Pierre DaCunha.
Pierre personally called me and arranged to meet me at Cycle Specialties in Modesto, where he replaced my liner for me free of charge.
If that ain't customer service I don't know what is!
