You continue to report this, Phil; but, note that it dangerously lowers the peg rails of a Roadster and decreases its lean angle.
I have a photo of where it dragged and dumped me last year.
The crash resulted in my left leg and ankle requiring surgery that left me with two plates and 13 screws I didn't have before.
Ive been running the 130 front tires on both my bikes with no problems and I dont drag the peg rails BUT if your going to play road racer you can drag everything regardless of the tire size SO either slow down or set your bike up with longer shocks and front springs or ride it like the cruiser it is The smaller front tires make the bike more nimble and feeling like a smaller lighter machine BUT remember your still riding a big CRUISER with limited cornering clearance its not a sportbike VALENTINO ROSSI

Appreciate your input. As I wrote before, many will likely not have a problem with a 130 - SOME WILL.
I have increased my rear shock length to a little over the stock 12.5". Since the new 444s, the issue has improved immensely; however, I shall continue to use no smaller front tire than a 140. Heck, just look at the photo I posted of the 130 on the front of my bike before my crash ride - it even "looks" too small!
Besides, why make efforts to improve the handling of the Beast if you are not going to USE IT! :p

I have to admit to being more than just a bit anguished about my recommendation of that tire being a proximate cause of the pain and suffering that you experienced, Steve. truth be told, though, I simply acted upon the strong recoimmendation of an other member of the cognoscenti here's recommendation to me (the Guinea Pig), so really, it's all his (the unnamed other's) fault!!!o_O:banghead:

Well, Art's @IMFASTTOO comments had some truth as well.
Being an old over the hill sport bike man, I have never lost the itch for the almighty twisty . . . or grown up and matured for that matter!:evil:

I am on 13,000 miles with my Exedra maxes now. Granted, mine is a R3T and not an R3R so a different size rear tire, but most of my time is communting with an occational road trip two-up. I have never got this good of mileage out of any other motorcycle tire to date.
