Yep I love the seat with the backrest and own two of them myself. I would not want any other triumph seat. The back rest keeps me from sliding off when hitting the Warp Drive
I didn't take to it immediately - admittedly because I didn't like the old man look, so I would swap from one to the other. After using it on a 4000km trip I couldn't live without it. Takes all the stain off your hands and keeps you planted where you want to be. Must safer too for those moments when you need to take one hand off the bars because you still have 2 contact points. Probably should get rid of the one without the backrest as I can't see myself using it. Anyone interested?
I'm not about to pay $299.00 for a backrest if and when I want one I'll try and chase down a second hand one. They are no doubt good but I don't like the look that's why I don't have a sissy bar on my bike. That and Julie doesn't like them, to hard to throw a leg over to get on.

Bloody Wiper Sniper, I wouldn't be without one on long trips it make the difference of whether I need to take pain killers to be able to sleep at night, having broken my back in two places (10 year ago) means that without support I am in a mess of pain, before I got the back rest I'd get to Phillip Island (a mere 750km in one day) and break out the heat packs to strap to my back so I could at least set up camp, but not any more now I get set up and then help my camping mates as they arrive before sitting back for a Bourbon round a fire (if cold)
