New R3T owner

I used the early production date against a dealer once on a used car, handy little tidbit of insider info. Car makers with lots filled with cars that haven't been consigned yet have even been known to run them back through the line just to re-VIN them. (you didn't think they destroyed unsold cars did you?) lol
My '08 was still in the crate when I bought it in August 2008, it has a production date of 02/08. The dealer didn't think it was funny when I asked who's shelf it had been sitting on for 6 months .... but I did. If you think about it, the tires are even older than that ...

For the 2010's they did away with the red/black two tone...I was hoping for the 2011's they would bring it back. For the 2010's they only had three choices, two were two tone and one was the black only model.

Here is to hoping that they get more imaginative in the OEM paint schemes. And as far as I am concerned they got way too lazy on the paint offerings for the Roadster...gloss black and matte black are not...to me...that enticing for me to want one.

Hmm, my VIN is B but it is made in February 2010. So, according to the VIN my R3T should be a 2011 model (which is made too early for 2011)!

But it doesn't matter 2010 or 2011, I love it!

I understand the "I love it" parts. But it does make a difference to the insurance company, if they ever have to pay a claim on it.
