My advice . . .
1) WELCOME to ya, Abe, from WA State!
2) Now you have solved your problema . . .
3) Move outta Chicago!!!  :p

welcome from arizona
good luck on repair there are a lot of threads on the spring and if u need help then u can ask and i know some one will answer up.

I haven't had it happen to me but it does sound like the detent spring that I have read about here.

Have to agree with the guys. As for the heel shifter some love, some hate, some say using them is hard on the trans because it allows you to exert way too much pressure on the shifting dogs.

Abe welcome from Florida.Hopefully as others have said it this the detent spring.

Just the one?

Edit: Hi Abe and welcome to the forum from one of the Brits

Thanks a lot guys! Y’all sure are a friendly bunch!

Welcome, "neighbor"! (I'm just out in Carol Stream) :) Hope it's an easy fix! I've only had my R3T a few weeks and only a couple hundred miles so far, but am really loving it!

Thanks! I’m about 40 mins from there, in Rogers park. I’ve ridden mine a few times and it’s definitely fun. Look forward to riding with ya!

Haha thanks! I’ve actually driven from Seattle to Chicago once, what an amazing drive! Stayed a night/day in Yellowstone as well on the way back. Gotta love mountains ⛰

What was your ride on that trip? Sounds like when you get your kinks worked out you should try another one!!
Welcome from Utah!
A couple of weeks after I got mine last year, it stopped running. It had a short in the battery cable hitting the frame under the right side cover. It took me a week to find it, and I never would have without all the great people on here. BUT I really learned a lot about the bike going through everything. Electrical-wise anyway.
So if you are bit mechanically minded it could be a great bonding experience!! :D:D
And if you can find a service manual, that can be a great reference.
Either way, you will find plenty of help right here.

I was driving an 09 C63 AMG. Great car for twisties with more than enough hp/tq. Only complaint: 18mpg hwy on premium fuel all the way to Chicago

Speaking of Utah, I was once almost “stranded” in a small mining town out there named Emery. Flat tire on a vette with no run flats or spare. No tire shop within 50+ miles and no tow trucks haha. An older gentleman, somehow found me a used tire slightly taller that fit! Replaced it with hand tools haha!

I’m glad you were able to figure out your issue! I’ll be on the lookout for a service manual. Thanks!
