I agree, HellFire -- I'd bet your wife would have been just as happy if you had duct-taped a couch pillow to the pillion seat. It's like trying to explain the difference between HDMI and Component A/V inputs -- somehow, most women lack the gene responsible for the interest in anything technology or performance oriented.

However, my better half did notice and appreciate the new sissy bar backrest compared to the pillion seat on the r1200gs I previously owned. It was also nice to go for an hour-long ride without having our helmets clank even once.

Yes, of course, were I a single lad again, there would now be a Young Gun seat on my bike. Would I prefer being single again? Hell no!

Just the other day I bought a $160 Butty Buddy and suprised her with it when she got home from work. She looked at it with a blank face, set it down and started talking about dinner options. If it had been a $5 flower the response would have been quite different, They just don't understand do they? I think they believe that if it has something to do with bikes in any way, it's a selfish purchase and we weren't thinking of them. They couldn't be more wrong could they guys?
