New (Happy)Rocket Owner

Hi Everyone.

I live just outside of Bristol in the UK and Just bought myself a 4 year old Rocket 3 Classic.

I started riding bikes in 1981 and went up through the ranks from a Suzuki TS 185 and ended up with a Suzuki GS850. I met my future wife and after 5 years we bought a house. The bike went and the family came along.

In 2010 it was time to get another bike but things had changed. My wife was diagnosed with MS so we had to find a bike that she could easlily get on. It was also over 25 years since I had been on a bike so I had to think senibly so in the end I went for a Suzuki Burgman 650.

We have had 3 good years on the bike travelling to France, Jersey and lots of trip around the UK but I have always wanted a Rocket since they came out in the early 2000's.

We have just bought a 2009 Rocket 3 Classic and I don't think I will ride anything else again. What a superb machine it is.

Looking forword to meeting some of you in the soon on ride outs. I will post some photos later.

Mark.

Welcome, Punker! (boy, I sure hope your handle wasn't earned from prison)
You have come to the BEST forum around and will likely learn much about your new ride from some of the gurus lurking around here.
My admiration to your missus for for her courage to beat back the MS.
Best Regards,

Trust the old Bull to put it so well. I hope you and your wife enjoy many years of riding the best motorcycle on the planet.
Welcome aboard and I hope we'll be able to assist you in your stated aim of never riding another bike - well, never needing to anyway.

G'day and welcome Mark, From another Aussie....
My wife's good friend has MS, great to hear she is on the bike and out there taking on the world with you on the R3:thumbsup:

Thanks Guys.

Just come back from a holiday.

Looking forword to next year already. My next trip on it is to Birmingham for the bike show at the NEC in two weeks time.

I am looking to add a clock during the winter. How easy is it to fit?

Happy riding.
