There have been several of us with the same issue. It is likely the electronic board inside the speedometer is starting to fail. With time it will start acting more erratic. Dials won't sweep correctly at power up, trip meters will become hard to see, and will go to "0" every time the key is shut off. Unfortunately they are not repairable. Your best bet is to look for a used speedometer. Sometimes they are on ebay.
