Neolite Lights installed on my Classic

For years I've looked for driving lights for my classic. It's not that easy if you don't like the Triumph lights, don't want to spend a bundle and only want chrome. Mounting the lights is a challenge too.

I've been running a pair of PepBoys $29.99 rectangular H3 units for a couple of years. I finally decided to upgrade to some $44.99 lights from eBay (item number 330598229984).

These lights are a little heavier than the PepBoys lights so I made a new aluminum support braces from 1.5 inch wide flat bar. There are now two braces on each side. I like to use aluminum because it's easy to work and doesn't rust.

I cut the supplied mounting part in half and did not use the huge rubber bushings...

I found the chrome on these lights to be first rate. The reflector and lens are glass and great quality.

I still need to get used to them... My main lights have been converted to HID. I'll do the same for the new H3 lights. The can is large enough to put all the HID stuff inside (I think...) These lights are BIG, but it's a big bike too! 3

I see you have a chip in your front fender too. Now I don't feel so bad about mine....

The two lights share a relay.

That "chip" was made by my cut-off wheel when I shaped the brackets (on the bike).

An otherwise inexpensive project.... My wife kept saying, "Don't be too upset.. lot's of bikes have chips etc.."

When I did the deed I kinda laughed.. somehow avoided being upset. I'll just have to get the fender fixed or repainted.

I have the original 1" wide supports left over if someone wants them. They only work if you already have lowers.

btw: The lowers work very well. Without them I have two blasts of air coming off the road up under the screen.
They worked well when I had a Corbin fairing on too.

Yup... I'd prefer something smaller but would have to be chrome finished HID and so: hard to find and expensive.

I'll convert these to HID when I get the kit sometime next week. These lights are 5" diameter. The main are either 7" or 7.5" I think.

Love the profile of the Hella 500s. Wish they came in chrome.

I put some HPLED lights on my Tiger. Super, but again not available in chrome.
