My Re-Introduction Thread - Ricochet is now a Rocket III Owner

And don't laugh I reckon one of the best colours Rockets have been is yellow would have bought one if I had been able

Congrats on scoring a Rocket! Get used to the attention it draws and the ear to ear grin that you'll have from here on out. I can sympathize with you regarding the cold. I hate winter!

Nothing wrong with yellow, I think its a pretty sporty color... looks good on Hummers, and Corvettes. But the Rocket is a classic style of bike, so I think that beautiful Pearl Black is a great match for this bike. The red ones I've seen around are pretty sweet too I think!

Congrats on the new Ride and hey we aren't all grumpy .... At least not most of the time
I don't think it's y'all fault. My theory is that hanging upside down all the time causes the blood to rush to your heads causing undue stress on the brain. It seems to affect y'all in the oddest ways, like the grumpiness, eating vegemite, riding on the wrong side of the road, and an unusual love for sheep. ;)

Congratulations on the R3R.

It's a funny thing with Rockets. When I was looking for my last bike, I wasn't even considering a Rocket. I was actually looking for a Thunderbird. But I took a test ride on the R3T and was IMMEDIATELY hooked - I knew there was not going to be a T-bird in my garage. I believe that if you're a Rocket Captain - then the very first time you toss a leg over one there's an INSTANT connection - you just know that everything else is tied for last place. And if you're not a potential Rocket owner, then more and more time in the saddle won't convince you. Rockets are an all or nothing proposition.

I can't imagine having the desire to own anything else in its class (but a BMW 1600 GT might shoehorn itself into my garage one of these days).

Ditto

Big deal.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Congratulations. Don't know if I could have one sitting around for months without riding it, though. Maybe you should seriously consider taking it South for a ride. I would (even with this bunch of *#%&*@%#$%). ;)

Brother, you have no choice but to just accept it and get used to it... I've lived here for 20 years now, I was originally from South Africa and belive me, it takes way more then 20 years to get used to this freaking cold. You don't know misery till its -37c outside, trying to start a car and then driving in it for 20 minutes before warm air even starts coming out the vents!!

I totally would trailer the bike if I had a car that could handle it.. I drive a wicked 2002 camry with drum brakes on the back! Not suitable for towing :(
