my key wont open my gas cap

If it were mine, I'd take it apart, clean everything up good, dry out, lube everything with graphite, reassemble, and move on.

Oh yeah; and apply a little graphite from time to time in the future.

Chris, there is another bolt hidden under the ring that can only be accessed once cap is open.
Yup - but on mine it was loose from the factory!. If it's corroded up - find a gun shop and get some CLP Break Free. The dropper bottle probably best. It's saved me a few seized lock scenarios. That or "Fish-oil-in-a-tin" - aka WD40. Patience. It'll open eventually. Non-locking cap - I may get one for my planned long trip - Hate to get stranded in Transylvania.

Transylvania defiantly graphite powder then !!! Can be used to similar affect as pepper .. ideal to throw or blow into eyes of vampires or other living-dead types. Don't leave home without it !!!!

Oh moly' powder is WAY better than graphite (for vampires) - it gets feckin everywhere - and being hygroscopic dries out eyes. Leaves everything shiny silver.

Kroil spray frees everything. I had the same problem. Kroil it to get to work and then a shot of silicone spray into the keyway every month or so.

This happens to me from time to time I just spray some wd40 on my key and a little on the lock and presto she is good to go. A little on the key once in a while will prevent it happening again
