Well it has been about three months since this "still unnamed bike" came home and since I have been without a flip project I have spent the time with a little refreshing to make it my own. There is a new appropriate 500/16 "old style chopper tire", new pipes and hardware, new seat, carbs gone through with new pods, rear wheel crush rubbers were replaced, gas tank sealed with Caswell, a new aluminum electrical box bottom was fabricated to replace the plastic oil can and zip tie, and finally a lot of detailing hours. The "Old Girl" runs great and the torque curve has gone through the roof with new pipes, but to be completely honest, about is 10 mile ride is all you want to do. I really don't care though, I just like the way it looks in small herd......
This Friday I turn 71 years old, I bought me an early birthday present. The Wife thinks I have lost it, I really do think she is checking into old age homes for me behind my back......
