I have them cut and rewelded 8" forward from original position. A few questions. Does anyone know the brake line part number I need for the rear brake? (Found Summit racing PN 657243 and 640541 on another site?---rear brake line looks like it is integrated into diversion block for ABS. Don't know how to change. On the shifter side.....should I try and set it up for 1 down 4 up shifting or 1 up 4 down? Could do either. Coming along. Pics soon.

I am looking on how to change my crusier into a roadster as far as the footpegs, shifter and brakes. We could have just traded parts.

I have a spare brake line in the shop but it is the one for the cursier without ABS.
Let me know if you need that part # and I will go out and get it.

Roadster footpegs to floorboards

I have an 07' R3 Classic with floorboards and would like to trade the whole set-up for Roadster footpegs, controls, brackets, etc...
Mine are the lower-hung style.

I put floorboards on my Roadster about 6 months ago and love it. There is no issue with the ABS so long as you leave the the brake light switch block in the same position and just use a longer brake line.

Did post a bit of a write up on doing it, not sure if it was here or the .com site.

There is no way I would have done that to my Roadster.

I would recommend this and actually thinking about doing it. Scroll down after clicking the link. I guess it wouldn't be exactly like the Classic but I believe it would work really well on the highways and be able to stretch your legs at any given time.

Hi

You will need both left and right side rails and floorboards, brake pedal and master cylinder including brake pedal pivot bolt and spring.
Gear lever, gear actuator and adjusting rod that goes between the lever and actuator, gear lever pivot bolt.
You will need to fabricate a small sheet-metal bracket to support the brake light switch in it's original position close to the motor. Fabricate a new brake line to go from the brake light switch to the now more forward placed master cylinder. I made one from bending, cutting and re-soldering an original brake line I got from ebay.
You could also have a short braided hose made to suit as well.
Doing all of the above will able you to return to the Roadster controls at any time without modifications that permanently change the bike.

If you need to source a master cylinder then check other triumph models as they used these parts on many models. I sourced mine from a 2010 Sprint.

I have ordered the highway pegs from Rivco for my Roadster. I didn't go with the wide boot foot rest but went the narrow peg. Less obvious I hope.
