300V is more like a track oil it doesn't have all the detergents in it .
This is why it seems to have more lubricity.
This is also why it does not last as long plus if you did run it longer your likely to get more engine deposits.
This is the difference between the Motul 300V and the Motul 7100V from the research I've found.
Excellent price for the Motul 7100 series oil (cheaper than the Mobile-1 I'm using). Looking to order some for this summer. The only problem is they only offer 10w-50, 20w-50, or 10w-60 in the 7100 series oils. No 15w-50 as required by Triumph. Leaning toward the 20w-50. Anyone see any problems with running it?

interesting- my local dealership said triumph recommends 10w-40 for the rocket 3 i'm over 4-5k miles due for a change and will stay with the 7100 10w-40 motul
