Motul 300V 4T $51 / 4-Liter

Need to change more often with this oil compared to say, Mobil 1- why?

300V is more like a track oil it doesn't have all the detergents in it .
This is why it seems to have more lubricity.
This is also why it does not last as long plus if you did run it longer your likely to get more engine deposits.

This is the difference between the Motul 300V and the Motul 7100V from the research I've found.

Excellent price for the Motul 7100 series oil (cheaper than the Mobile-1 I'm using). Looking to order some for this summer. The only problem is they only offer 10w-50, 20w-50, or 10w-60 in the 7100 series oils. No 15w-50 as required by Triumph. Leaning toward the 20w-50. Anyone see any problems with running it?

No I've been running the Red Line 20W50 for quite some time. In fact that and Motul is what megacycle cams speaks highly of.

Thanks Warp, going with 20w-50. Can't beat the price (less than $10 per liter).

interesting- my local dealership said triumph recommends 10w-40 for the rocket 3 i'm over 4-5k miles due for a change and will stay with the 7100 10w-40 motul

Decided to give this oil a try. It's expensive, but I found it here for a decent price.

This seems to be about $10 less per gallon than most anywhere else I've found, but if you know of something better please share.

8 liters will get you free shipping, but I decide to go ahead and get 12, enough for two complete oil changes.

That's exactly the same oil as I use and last i bought it it came in 12 1lt bottles. - I think I paid $300 AUD for all 12.

$130 AU for a 4lt jug here so yeah.

I always offer the shop $100 for a 4lt jug and they usually accept that
