I posted a problem I had with a Drive shaft for a Touring on my Classic. Can't find any used driveshafts. I decided to try and find a replacement U-joint. Took some measurements , and contacted a company in Columbus OH that specializes in U-joints. After I told him it was made in Italy , which only has two U-joint companies , he believes he has it narrowed down. For $20 I figured I could not go to wrong.
If you want I'll post the measurements.
The part should be here this week , so keep your fingers crossed.

Here is what I did. First of all my brainstorm of finding a replacement set of U-joints ,did not work out. I was about to order a new driveshaft , then I had a light go on. It would be a gamble . I took the u-joint off the rear portion of the replacement drive shaft I had bought. It is for a touring model. I installed the rear part of the original driveshaft. It worked real well. Got the bike back together today. Everything I did worked great. The thrashing sound is gone.
The U-joint is made in Italy. I have a friend in Sicily , and will send him the info. He may ride a Moto Guzzi Quota , but he is OK.

Good to hear it all fitted up right. Bet that's a relief.

Seems strange that a replacement Uni can't be sourced. It's a real piss off when manufacurers use custom built sizes to assemble their product with.
Amate was looking for a wheel bearing for a HD years ago and they had him by the short and curlies.
Imperial inside and metric outside. Couldn't source it from anyone but HD at an inflated price.
Good for spare parts sales $$, but not for the customers wallet.
