Hi all:
I have an 05 rocket with a 20055 map. Having rough idle issues with stalling. For some reason when I run program with out engine running the TPS indicator works fine 0 to 100%, yet when I start the bike TPS barely indicates 5%, tried reloading program seems to idle better but TPS Sill not reading. Also not seeing any TPS errors, green light ok.
Any thoughts? Have never been happy with idle, and wondering what other map I might try my bike, stock with 10,000 miles

You might have 2 issues here. First they did change the maps in 07 I believe to correct some idle problems I am not sure why yours was not taken care of unless you did not have the dealer service it. (but it has a old original map) easy fix depending on what tuning software you use. Its just a matter of loading a correct map into her for your set up. Now since that has not been done after you do install the correct map I would do a full ISCV reset to sync your stepper motor, Primary TPS and the map in the ecu. If she continues to act up I would suspect your TPS is acting up (getting worn spots in it and sending a erratic signal. Easy fix with the new updated TPS unit. OF course there is a chance yours could be good so we must do the map and ISCV reset first.

Hope this helps.

I am not sure which software you use but your map should be in the 202## range which the originals were 200##. The 20222 is for a stock exhaust and cat box. it would be a good place to start. Have you done any modifications to her? Air intake? no cat? different pipes or possibly TORS?

Bike is stock, am using tuneecu by Alain Fontaine. Am thinking about cat bypass, any ideas about what gains I might see?

Not much to be gained from just running the cat bypass and the 3 OEM cans I did the sound is a little better but the TORS can and bypass will get you a little more the 140 hp if memory serves me right. If your not into the three pipe look there is more gains to be made with a good 3-1 system including the header. For right now you should load a the 20222 tune in and see how she likes it. remember to reset the adaptive after loading the new tune.

Thanks for the info that new map 20222 runs so much better. She idles much better now and I actually think she's alittle sharper now better response and smoother. The TPS % gage still not working, I'll try reloading tune ecu to see if maybe that might be the problem.
