Low cost RFID tag reader to enable/disable ignition

I have 2 setups and it is keyed, I can not get one bike started with the other bike's remote, even after I reset them they still only work on the receiver that came with it.

I can usually walk out of a joint and once I spot my bike I hit the button and put it away, have my helmet on and mount the bike and hit the starter button and be on my way.

Head,

Do you have the key in the ignition always on, or does it not have to be in the ignition at all?

Thanks...

Why not use a more traditional programmable aftermarket key FOB? They are long range and can be programmed for turning the bike on/off, starting the bike, and engaging/disengaging the alarm.

Can can also roll up your windows and lock your doors, but I can only think of one captain that has such a setup with his rocket.

Otherwise, I like the concept, but I think you'd be better off with a longer range transmitter/receiver than RFID. Just my opinion. I like that you are trying to make something cool for the rocket.

You don't need the key in the ignition, if you forgot the remote then you use the key as you always would. If the key is in the on position in the ignition then everything is on, it over rides the remote, if it is in the off position then you can turn the bike on/off with the remote.
