Looking to Buy 05 Rocket

Looking at a 05 Rocket with 25000 miles, any concerns with this bike? Always rode Goldwings and never had any problems. Are these just as good or better?

My first Rocket was an '05 and I had no problems with it. Sold it at 50 000km to get a 2104 R3R. You will love the bike!

@eugene others more knowledgeable than me may chime in -- my understanding is there were changes to certain components in the drivetrain made by Triumph that caused them to make available an update kit, and it would be nice to know if the first owner of that 2005 had that installed.

Another challenge reported by some is the choice by Triumph (not uncommon in the motorcycle world) to route power for the headlights through the ignition switch causing pre-mature failures, and again, it would be nice if a previous owner installed a bypass relay of some flavor.

I hope it works out for you. Goldwings certainly have their place. Bet you'll love the Rocket.

If its got 25000 miles on here without problems she is prpbably a good one except fpr the need of some type of head light relay.

23 thousand is 7 thousand more than the bike cost new in 2005. Did you mean 23 hundred ?
