Guys,

I want to upgrade stock suspension to 440's (black) in the rear and the progressive fork kit in front.

1. I weigh 300 and assume that the HD is the way to go or do I go normal??

2. Should I shorten or lengthen the shocks. If so why?? Not seeing any scraping in cornering YET, but I am still breaking in. So what length. Do I shorten, lengthen or leave it alone as far as size of shocks.

3. Where Can I Get the best deal!!! Do I wait for sales or is there somewhere where I can get these things for less than 600++.

Any help is appreciated.

PS: I am also getting a solo seat no riders for the short term so me and my belly ride alone :)

I was 240 when I bought my set of progressives.

I went 1/2 inch shorter than stock because I have short legs.

HD is going to be a good thing especially if you're planning to ride with a passenger and/or luggage.

I got mine set at MADSS (no longer in business) so that won't help you. If you aren't in a hurry, you can find sales on line that you can get a pretty good deal.

Others have found sets on FleaBay much cheaper... but I'm too leery of buying stuff off there.
