Let's talk mirror replacements

The latter. The lights on both the forward and rear sides are very bright; in fact, the rear side signals take some getting used to at night due to brightness. You won't forget to turn them off!

I was wondering if they were a distraction at night ,on my R3T the blinkers are self cancelling and have been told the unit is load sensitive if the electrical load on the unit is changed by changing wattage then the self cancelling ability is compromised (compromised is a strange word ) I was once caught in a compromising situation with married lady ,I'm not like that anymore!

I definitely be no 'lectric wizard, but my guess is no problema because these units currently work fine on self cancelling units.
FYI - I did eliminate the stock front signals on my motor in favor of the taller, wider and more visible mirror units.
If that reads like I know what I be talking about - you are compromised!

Had these on my last Vmax , they also do ones with indicators , i'll be putting these on the Roady when funds allow

got my bat mirrors off of ebay .. no adaptors.. just used locktight to make sure they stay done up.. sit low and discreet

You can get resistor units that put same load on flasher relay, but not being an expert I can only suggest you consult a Auto Electrician before doing it

Bull, I'm no electrical wizard either When you put the mirrors on, did you just cap the red wires (running lights)? If not, which hot wire did you run them through. Figure if yours are working good, no reason to try a different source

OK, cardinal93,
You kind of got me here. I be such an electrical drongo that I had my brother do the actual wiring.
I just called him and he simply followed the direction that came with the mirrors - no problems.
It has been awhile since we did the install, but from memory there are two wires to each signal
and these were used to connect to the mirrors. I don't believe the stock signal bulbs were two
stage and there were no running lights. Remember that I removed those ugly-ass stock signals and run only the mirrors.

I recall being told that if you leave you stock indicators connected you just plug the Rivco mirrors in to the indicator wiring and they work fine. I think even with just 2 of the originals the current draw is sufficient for the lights to flash correctly. Not sure what the fuss is though. When I swapped my bulbs for LEDs I just swapped out the flasher relay. Cost less than $30. You can also get one specifically for a mix of bulbs and LEDs for about the same price.

I do like the idea of the blinker in the mirror. You won't miss it but also it is visible to anyone next to you. Saw some bar end weights with LEDs built in. They might be worth a go too.

Mine start between 3000/3300 and then they clear..left one more than right

I have the black tear drops on my Roadster made by Triumph but they vibrate like crazy!
I cant figure out why but they are just about useless around 2500 RPM or higher.

My black tear drops don't vibrate at all , must be a smooth operator
