Also, You could take the head to a machine shop and have the valve seats recut. Then have them grind the valve stems to a more normal clearance of about 2MM.

He needs longer, shaving stem and valve seats cut gets him even wider clearance than what he has now. But new valve seats that will get him up

Nevilles cams always drop right in, everything is very close, he knows if youre gonna shave head, do valve job or anything he wants to know when he makes his cams, we all know this.Come on Kevin.....Finish your thought.....Don't leave us all hanging.....

You might be right, have never been close to 0.93 gap with feeler gauges before. Will know in a few days when a shipment of 2.45-3.15 shims and 1.1 mm lash caps arrives. First thing I'll do is to fit a 3.15 shim to the intake valve having max clearance and see if I still end up with the same number.
