Service Light After Fitting Quickshifter

After posting recently about Quickshifter activation i installed the Quickshifter to the Triumph Instructions and have booked into a Triumph dealer for activation. But after reconnecting the battery its giving me a service light on the instrument display and i have to ride 165 miles to not my closest dealer but to my most helpful one is this going to do any harm ? The bike was serviced less than 2 months ago.
Any advise appreciated

If it's a maintenance minder (wrench icon) no harm no foul. If it's the MIL light that means there a DTC code you need to read before you go down the road.
