Keep your Earbuds in at 120+mph with this cheap MOD....

Most everything in my state is banned but i haven't heared anything about ear plugs. I had a pair of custom ear plugs made awhile back that allows you to hook up your i-pod to them. I guess if i get pulled over i'll just tell them it's a hearing aid...no problem with these at high speeds...

I can never 'get-on' with anything in my ears ,I just have to hear fully as to what's happening around me, and the sound of the bike.
Music is a def' no-no for me --It breaks my concentration. I realise I'm a definite minority on this, but I guess we're all different

is it just me?but at 120mph or above keeping ear plugs in my ears would be the last thing I would be worrying about(cops/tickets/higher insurance/cagers pulling in front of me/wildlife/road conditions/etc.)

Unfortunately, without earplugs you won't be hearing anything fully again, over time. Motorcycle riders are hugely prone to hearing damage. Earplugs at least is a must for me.

As for music - I do listen to it, I find it relaxes me and keeps me more alert, especially for the long haul. Listening to engine drone at constant speeds gets old.

These Shure headphones http://www.shure.com/americas/produ.../se-earphones/se215-sound-isolating-earphones combined with replacing the black tip there with a triple-flange silicone one means they stay in, they isolate from outside noise and they sound outstanding. No need to DIY anything.

In the past I've tried headphones - BIG ones Sennheisers. But on the whole I find Music an annoyance these days. This said I've realised I am starting to suffer with Tinnitus - so have started using http://www.nonoise-earplugs.com/en/products/motorsport/ - In Spain they're even subsidised if you buy them in a Pharmacy.

EH ??? PARDON... Can you say that again------

-My friends have made me deaf

These actually block out unwanted sound like the 100db winds and other clutter like ear plugs do. Yet allow me to pick up sounds like the engine and sirens. And BTW who gives a "flying faster than my guardian angel ****" what I put in my mouth nose or ears? I'm not just American, I'm free. It is my responsibility to be the free-est MAN I can be. I live my life like I ride my R3, Aggressive but with courtesy. Be the change you want to see in this world ladies. :)

This mod fits right over the existing ear buds, I found the Beats wireless to be perfect for under the helmet especially for turn by turn directions
