I owned a 2013 K1600 GTL for about a year. Bought it used with about 15,000 miles, and sold it with about 21,000. It played second fiddle to the R3T so I did not put a lot of miles on it. The BMW did some things really, really well. But it also disappointed me in some ways. The good things included throttle response, overall performance, smoothness of the engine/drive train when riding, and comfort. But the trans was annoyingly clunky, the sound system was not good at all (on a German bike, no less) and the self-cancelling turn signal feature took way too long to cancel (not adjustable). I sold it and bought a Victory Vision, which is what I was looking for when I stumbled onto the BMW. My advice would be to keep looking, but that is just me. And, yes, the Vision plays second fiddle to the Rocket, too.
