K-Drive Saddle bags

Had them on the bike when I bought it.

1- They were the small ones and were too small for my use.
2- The opening on these was very small, therefore making it hard to get stuff inside.
3- They are waterproof!
4- You can lock them with a key
5- You can put them on and take them off in as much time as you can get the key in the ignition, it's that easy.
6- The brackets are not bulky and the bike looks really nice when the bags are off.

Like I said they were the small ones, I am sure the bigger ones have a half decent opening.

I have them and they are fine, they are a bit small and do stick out a tad but it dont worry me  They are water proof and easy to get off and on

I didn't know they had different sizes. The ones I was looking at are 39 quart and are priced at $440. Are these the small ones?

I bought them for my Speedmaster. It turned out I almost
never use them because of clearance problems with the passenger
pegs (which I can solve with $$).

What ticks me off is that I have never found a place to buy parts!

I want to buy just the brackets for my RIII, then use one set of bags
on either machine.... I contacted several KDrive retailers and always
got the same negative answer.

I would not buy them again if only for this reason.

I'd buy Hepco & Becker! You can get what you want when you want.
Break a latch... you can get a new one... want another set of brackets,
you can get them!

;-)

I ended up buying the K-Drive bags. I really like them. Sorry to hear you are having difficulties on the Speedmaster. They fit my R3 fine. I think for the $$ they are a good buy.

Don't get me wrong, I like the bags fine... but its not reasonable to be
unable to buy a second set of brackets.... ;-)

Roy

Yeah, that's strange. You would think that picking up a second set of brackets would be no big deal. Did you try contacting the folks at "New Bonneville"? Perhaps they could assist? Although, at this point you probably have different bags.

NewBonnieville

I bought my bags from New Bonnie. first place I tried..

They have been a great supplier for many parts!

Brent got back to me that the only option would be for him to
order for the RIII and break the parts up himself... sell me the
RIII brackets and keep the bags. Not reasonable...

I tried researching K-Drive over the Internet... they must be a CIA
outfit. Except for some resellers they don't exist..

I finally found K-Drive. They are in Belgium

Their email is: info@vartex.be

website is: www.vartex.be

This is off their literature that came with my bags

They also list another website "www.k-drive.com". This will get you to the vartex web site as well. Hopefully, This will help you get a second bracket.
