I have an exedra sitting in my shed for when its time...i have moved the hugger up maybe an inch with a small steel plate adapter on the right side and packing on the left.It now has plenty of clearance. Dont know how its gonna go but will find out when its time. My cobber recently put a Metzler 888 on his R model....so far its performed ok...we dont expect big mileage from it but it is sticky.

Oh, yeah, I see now - the fender sits really close. If I'm doing the math right the Cobra tire sits 120mm above the rim, while the Exedra adds another 12mm (1/2").

You're giving me some hope here. When you get a chance I'd like to see how you managed those adaptations.

Its the hugger in the front of the tyre thats the problem....i took the hugger off and made a small plate maybe an inch and a half long and bolted to the existing hole in the hugger on the right side, then i drilled a hole thru the plate an inch down throm the existing hole thru that plate and bolted it back on the bike. I went to the left side and packed up under the hugger where that bolt goes with rubber until it looked lined up from the rear and bolted it down. There is a 3rd bolt too in the front/middle which just went straight back in. I have got maybe an inch and a half clearance now.

"In the US we can do our own oil changes (need to keep receipts) without invalidating the warranty."

First Oil Change (600 miles) Questions

I am getting ready to do my first oil change myself), a couple of questions. I know I need to remove the front cowling to get to the oil filter, is there anything I should look out for? What is the oil filter part number, I could not find it in the manual? I would like options of not having to...

I bet the warranty will expire before you need a valve adjustment. Your local dealer will be your interface for the warranty so I’d check with them to see what might get into trouble.
