Joining at the end of an era

Yep - She has only missed ONCE.
Well she actually selected drive instead of reverse - Don't know why - But all I heard is a crunch.... No damage to the bike but I had to fix the wall where the bar end and the foot peg went through it.
Boy was she sorry - She is still a keeper.....

...uuuummm...they are all 'keepers'.... but some get kept longer than others...

Seriously, I don't think I've ever met a unpleasant person riding a Triumph. I moderate a pickup truck forum and while we keep it friendly that place is nowhere near as welcoming as you guys.

While walking my dog this evening I was thinking about the mileage question from earlier today. I realized that, based on how and when I use it, my bike is the equivalent of a camper for me. It mostly comes out for the long trips and big vacations. Made me chuckle.

Jag, you wouldn't happen to be selling a Grady White with twin outboards, would you?

Nope it's a Parker 2120 SC single 200 yam 4 stroke, strong heavy boat with a berth and pilot house.

The 3+ foot wide handlebars strike again! I've hooked myself walking past the bike at least a few times over the years. Nice that they protected the important stuff!

Honestly, the best part of a no-damage incident like that is always the apology. :D
Amen

Darn nice! (edited after I realized there's an aggressive text filter in place)

If you keep it - you will ride it from time to time, unlike the Harley and yes chances of finding another in the same paint scheme would be difficult. If it were me I would be keeping it especially if you are not making loan payments for it.

Exactly!

It's OK to have both a Rocket and a boat:

Hello @mjp2 and welcome from VA. I have an extra 2 cents lying around and can offer them to you. I know we all have different issues with a family (I have had 2 wives and a total of 7 kids), but giving up riding is too hard for me. This R3T is my 28th ride over 35 years. Three of my boys ride today but all have had an early start on dirt bikes and it makes for a great family adventure, especially when you add in weekend camping trips to the mix.

I was in the Navy for 21 years and that helps make the family life tough all by itself. And that is also why I had so many bikes as I would sell my bikes before a deployment and buy something else when I returned. I have had several bikes that I wished I would have kept.

Your bike is a very low mile bike brother and I would say keeping it is the best idea (my 2014 has 31K miles). Your son is too young to ride with you now, but that won’t last very long. If at all possible, keep the bike…
