Joining at the end of an era

If you keep it - you will ride it from time to time, unlike the Harley and yes chances of finding another in the same paint scheme would be difficult. If it were me I would be keeping it especially if you are not making loan payments for it.

Only around 23k miles on the bike. I know, pathetically little considering the trips I've taken. I tend not to ride it around town because of traffic and (don't take this the wrong way) the many, many elderly drivers in the area.

Early on I was run off the road by a guy who put on his left turn signal, slowed down, and then turned right, right into me as I was going around him. He didn't even know what had happened. Since then I've opted for longer, away-from-the-chaos rides.

It's been paid off since 2006 and has been nothing but love and fun for me. Never a burden aside from the full car bay it takes up in the garage. ;)

Mines parked across the front of my wife's car and she parks within an inch of it.

You are a brave, trusting soul lol
Yep - She has only missed ONCE.
Well she actually selected drive instead of reverse - Don't know why - But all I heard is a crunch.... No damage to the bike but I had to fix the wall where the bar end and the foot peg went through it.
Boy was she sorry - She is still a keeper.....

MJP2, what a great write up. Love the photos of the trips you've taken. Makes me want to get on the road also. Make sure you keep in touch. Post some pics of the boat whey you get it. Have fun with the young one.

Welcome from NJ, nice write up and good luck with your new venture, enjoy!!
By the way thinking of putting my boat up for sale!!

Seriously, I don't think I've ever met a unpleasant person riding a Triumph. I moderate a pickup truck forum and while we keep it friendly that place is nowhere near as welcoming as you guys.

While walking my dog this evening I was thinking about the mileage question from earlier today. I realized that, based on how and when I use it, my bike is the equivalent of a camper for me. It mostly comes out for the long trips and big vacations. Made me chuckle.

Jag, you wouldn't happen to be selling a Grady White with twin outboards, would you?

The 3+ foot wide handlebars strike again! I've hooked myself walking past the bike at least a few times over the years. Nice that they protected the important stuff!

Honestly, the best part of a no-damage incident like that is always the apology. :D
