Is this the ignition switch issue?

So when i first got my 07 classic in 16, everything worked. Eventually the odo stopped working and found it was a common issue; didn't think much else of it. Eventually the sweep stopped with key on, but would sweep when i tapped the start button. I removed the pc3 and put a tune on it with TuneECU. Now the speedo doesn't work at all, and the tac doesn't sweep until the engine is running.

I've cleaned the speedo sensor and greased all the connections. The idiot light still a works and the tac and other lights work(after engine is actually running) but the speedo doesn't move. I have the p1500 code.

Is this synonymous with the ignition switch issue?

Not a Key-Switch issue

You may have got the P1500 if you had turned ignition on if you had it disconnected
If sensor issue it would be P0500
But this is most likely the not uncommon speedo failure itself

I'm hoping the speedo didn't decide to take a dump. I can't find any used ones or even new ones on the net and I'm dreading to see their cost at Triumph.

Get a Zumo or other GPS until you find a speedo if you must know your speed.

It's not that i must know my speed, it's that i have to. Lol i live in a mostly highway area and have a tendancy to speed, so id like to keep my speeding tickets as low as possible, especially with the easy of how quickly these things go 100+ without effort.

PWG says his Rocket has a tendency to go too fast to easy and he's concerned about his DL. I think the same vendor has it in mph.
