Is there anyone in north Dallas area that works on Triumphs other than dealer?

The air pressure in tank was fixed by correcting gas spill valve which I had installed upside down.

10-4. Later in the afternoon I went back snd read the whole thread. In 1985 I was working at a BMW shop and when the early fuel injected K75's and K100's came out the gas caps were in many cases the culprit. Anyway good luck with your quest of getting it to run correctly.

After 2 months and one call to Triumph USA bike suddenly got fixed. Replaced 1 coil, 2 relays, and 1 fuel fiter that I had just replaced. Paid $491 and road home. Runs great. Next time I take to dealer I will call Triumph USA if not fixed in a week , they were very helpfull.

Final remarks about my bike problems. After having my bike at dealer for 2 months and spending $491 the bike started having the same problem after having my bike back for 3 days. I called dealer and told him it was having same problem and he said that he was unable to work on it and that it was likely a different broblem. Without any hope that he was going to help, l remembered the tps might be the problem. I found out where the tps was on the bike cleaned it up, there was some plastic shaving in it, and now it runs like new for 40 days now. I am convinced the tps was the only problem I every had and that the dealer was cluless and could not care less.

Glad it's working. Does your bike have an evaporative loss system? My former T-Bird had it and I had the periodic stalling issue. It was plugged up somewhere and this put pressure or vacuum on the throttle bodies causing it to stall with throttle on. After two visits to the dealer, he called Triumph. They finally ripped out the entire evap system and that fixed it.

Doug, I don't know if it has els, probably does. The dealer put in tps (throttle position senser) and then took it out because it didn't help, but when I took it out and cleaned it, bike was fixed.
