Roadster, 11500 miles. When turned on the ignition switch I got nothing. I touched the wiring harness going to the switch it got a connection right away. Then gas gauge showed empty and then wiggled the harness to the ignition again and it showed full as it should.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem. ?

Sounds very much like when the wiring underneath my ignition switch became detached. Sometimes the wire would be touching, then everything was fine, but sometimes it wasn't, then I had the problems you are experiencing.

We had a forensic on how to sort this out, but that nice Mr. Photobucket blocked all the pictures with a ransom demand for hundreds of dollars for 3rd party hosting.

If this is your problem, you have to remove the ignition switch and take a close look at the wires. Re-solder the offending wire if you have enough wiggle room.

Personally, I relocated the switch to my left hand side panel.

I just took mine to a shop and told them to fit a new ignition down on the side panel.

There are threads which would have helped you enormously, if it wasn't for Photobucket deciding to hold people to ransom and blocking the pictures.

Nevertheless, I have pasted some links which might help you, if just for the narrative.

Eastern Beaver used to do a kit - not sure if they still do.
