Hi Gang

When I switch on the ignition the 2 clocks sweep and the neutral light shows green. All works fine.
If I switch off for a stop leaving the bike a few mins, then switch on again the 2 clocks sweep and the neutral light shows green. All works fine.
If I switch off and on again quickly only the speedo sweeps, no tacho sweep and no neutral light.
If I repeat again, sometimes it resets to normal and all works fine, but occasionally the speedo goes strange as well, sweeping but only returning to 30mph instead of 0.
I leave a few mins and start again, all works fine.
The bike still runs and rides ok in this glitched mode without tacho, neutral light and speedo running from 30.

Nearly for got the trips reset to 0 every time it happens

I find I am learning to work around this glitch, but surely this is not normal.

Anyone else had this or any ideas? :(

Ps whoooa what a bike, lovin it :D

The Tach is sensitive to voltage spikes and dips and it will go dead if either happens.

I had that prob wen I first got my bike I tried cleaning the batterie terminals did not help and then the ECM or wat ever it is went and wen that was replaced that prob was gone.

Hi Gang

An update

I have done 600miles now and decided to take the bike back to Chesterfield Triumph.
I phoned them and they said no problem bring it straight in and we will sort it out.
I pointed out the above mentioned fault and the techie said there is a known fault that causes this problem,
It is wiring in the loom to the ignition, most bikes should have been sorted in the factory but some were missed.
They said a part might be needed but if it has been already installed it should be a simple fix, just wiring.
About an hour latter the bike reappeared , it's all done the techie said.

I have done anther 200miles since, stopping and starting the bike, all seems ok.
