Installing Manual Throttle Lock

I'm tired of waiting for a clean installing electronic cruise control for my R3T, so I'm going ahead and installing a BrakeAway manual throttle lock on my 08. I got a mother's price on one that I couldn't turn down, so I figured I'd give it a try. I know the R3T has a heavy throttle, but unlike most throttle locks, the BrakeAway seems to have a lot of surface area in contact with the throttle, so maybe it will be effective.

I'll report back after I have some experience with the device.

I just picked up a pair of throttle meisters don't know if they would work with your heared grips or not but they seem to have no problem with the spring tension

Mine's on heated grips and it works fine.
Brakeaway said they don't fit the heated grips, but don't listen to them.

I have a set of throttlemeisters with my triumph heated grips ... works fine. If you have the triumph grips they are exactly the same as non heated version as far as clearances and size. So anything you might be installing that works as either a bar end or friction lock between the grip and housing, will fit the heated as easily as the non. The only difference between the two is a small wire that hides in a hole in the bars under the grips. The only way you could get into trouble is if you pull the slack out of the throttle side for some reason, and you would have to do that on purpose to screw it up.

Has anyone installed one of these? Kaoko Cruise Control for the New Triumph Rocket III

Installed the Breakaway today. Works well and the instructions were pretty good. Always tough when they are trying to give instructions for multiple and various motorcycles.
