install tach and volt meter (digital)

Just thought and it did not hurt. But when you hook tune boy or tune ECU to a Touring does it have a tach on the software dash? If so some how that signal is getting from the ecu to tune tune ecu or the OBGYN Plug ? kind of makes you wonder!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder with a digital dash app and BT OBDII plug if you'd get a tach reading. Obviously we do on the classics, just wondering about the touring?

An app like Torque with a BlueTooth connector plugged in to the OBDII port will give you a tachometer, and a bunch of other stuff.

IIRC somebody was getting great results from a SCANGAUGE-II thingie.

I have a Virtual Instruments OBD2 plugin thingie - Problem is the display is near invisible in strong sun. Most cellphone displays are too.

Don't expect Full ODB-II from an R3 though - It's OBI ONE CAN NO BE. Well it might be OB1 and a little bit on maybe not quite.

If TuneECU shows a tacho for the "T" then Torque/scangauge etc will too.

@Macrider
Thanks for the video.
I have asked this question before, but can't remember if it was to you - if so, pardon please.
Do you leave the OBDII pluggen in always?
Do you experience any battery drain after not riding for a time?

thanks for all the input, I hope to be able to go out to the garage to try out the spark plug wrap on saturday, ill let you know if it works out

now that garmin is a cool unit. At the risk of sounding really dumb Ill ask anyway, but is this thing compatable with a R3? or does the R3 have a OBDII or similiar? ive honesly never looked. I do have a power commander installed
